Embracing my heritage, I draw inspiration from the beauty of the islands.

My goal is to create designs that capture the genuine beauty of native species in Hawaiʻi all while perpetuating ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi (the Hawaiian language). And to spread awareness of Native Hawaiian culture, the Hawaiian language, and share the genuine beauty of the islands through the expression of art.

This creation of this online business is just me wanting to share those things that I love about my culture and my home. I want to share the stories from my culture embedded in the designs I create, and I want to make sure I shine a light on things that the typical person doesn’t affiliate with Hawaiʻi. Weʻre going deeper than that. I want to do it in the right way, of course, and I want to make sure I tell the right stories. 

At this point in time, the very beginning, Kauʻi’s Studio is an exploration of the things that bring me joy. I just wanted to do something entirely different than what I’m used to. This whole endeavor is miles outside of my comfort zone. Maybe people don’t like it or maybe they do, but now, in the beginning, I’m excited to just try and see where it goes.
